CROWD-PULLER: Venu and Gowri Munjal in `Srikrishna 2006.'
Srikrishna 2006 (Telugu) Cast: Venu, Srikant, Gowri Munjal, Ramyakrishna, Brahmanandam, Jhansi, Ali Director: Vijayendra Prasad Generally films from Suresh Productions have all kinds of elements. After a long time, D. Ramanaidu has planned a film which is a total entertainer. Popular writer Vijayendra Prasad directed this film while Ratnam penned the dialogues. Venkateswarlu (Venu) is a big realtor. His grandmother Sesharatnam (Annapurna) advises him before her death to marry two girls, which will give him a long life, as at least one among them will have a long lifeline for her husband. So Venkateswarlu looks for an alliance but none agrees for his second marriage along with first wife. Bhanumati (Ramyakrishna) and Ramakrishna Raju (Srikant) bring up Indu (Gowri Munjal). Bhanumati looks an alliance for Indu against her wish. Indu escapes from the house as she wants to marry a person of her own choice. Raju goes in search of Indu. While trying to escape from him Indu meets with an accident only to be saved by Venkateswarlu. Indu falls in love with him. She gets the shock of her lifetime on learning Venkateswarlu's ambition to marry two girls at one go. Raju, who is following her like a shadow, consoles her and decides to get her married to Venkateswarlu.
Tricky situation
By the time, Indu marries Venkateswarlu, Raju enters the scene claiming she is his wife. Instead of having two wives, Venkateswarlu finds that he is one among Indu's husbands. He plays all sorts of tricks to get rid of Raju, but to no avail. How the tangle is solved? Will he be able to realise the drama enacted by Indu and Raju? All form part of the remaining film. The director runs a parallel story with Brahmanandam and Jhansi with the former planning for a remarriage. The screenplay plays a vital role in running the comedy track. As a whole, it is a wholesome entertainer.
