RSPCL told to get pollution clearance
PANAJI:
The Goa Government's High-power Project Clearance Committee (HPCC) has asked the Reliance Salgaoncar Power Company Ltd. (RSPCL), a subsidiary of Reliance Energy, to get examined from the Goa State Pollution Control Board its proposal to convert its naphtha-based mini-power plant to coal-based plant.
Industries Director, P. S. Reddy, told The Hindu on Thursday that the proposal, which envisages investment of around Rs. 160 crore, would also warrant a fresh examination of the existing power purchase agreement (PPA) between the State and RSPCL.
