MEG in final

KAYALPATNAM: Madras Engineering Group and Centre, Bangalore entered the final of the 41st Moulana Abul Kalam Azad Memorial Trophy all-India football tournament with a 1-0 win over Customs, Chennai here on Friday. Lokeshwal Singh scored in the 37th minute.

Pondy in final

Pondicherry defeated Chennai by four wickets and booked a place in the final of the fourth State-level cricket tournament in Cuddalore on Friday.

The scores: Chennai 157 for six in 25 overs lost to Pondicherry 158 for six in 24.2 overs (Gilbert 45).

Nagapattinam 137 in 24.1 overs (Thiagarajan 45, Ananda Murugan three for 16) bt Cuddalore 125 in 24 overs (Sudhakar 33).

Tennis camp

Madurai District Tennis Association, along with Tamil Nadu Tennis Association, is holding a camp for school and college students at the Madurai Union Club courts in Madurai from May 31 to June 5.
