Small industries seek more help

KOCHI: The Kerala State Small Industries Association has urged Industries Minister Elamaram Karim to resolve the problems confronting the small-scale industries.

The association, in a memorandum submitted to the Minister, wanted the Government to strengthen the Industries Task Force.

Association president, Xavier Thomas Kondody, said small-scale industries should be given `price preference' and should be exempted from security deposit when public sector units invite tenders.
