Allahabad: The Allahabad High Court has directed the Uttar Pradesh Government to look into the matter of release of water from the Narora dam into the Ganga. The court has further directed the State authorities to check the flow of `nullahs' into the river in the city. The order was passed by a two-judge bench of Chief Justice A.N. Ray and Justice Ashok Bhusan on a petition filed by one Hari Chetan Brahmchariji Maharaj. The court has fixed July 12 for the next hearing on the matter. Earlier the court had directed the State to release 250 cusecs of water into the Ganga from the Narora dam.
