CROWD-PULLER: Venu and Gowri Munjal in `Srikrishna 2006.'
Srikrishna 2006 (Telugu) Cast: Venu, Srikant, Gowri Munjal, Ramyakrishna, Brahmanandam, Jhansi, Ali Director: Vijayendra Prasad After a long time, D. Ramanaidu has planned a film which is a total entertainer. Popular writer Vijayendra Prasad directed this film while Ratnam penned the dialogues. Venkateswarlu (Venu) is a big realtor. His grandmother Sesharatnam (Annapurna) advises him before her death to marry two girls, which will apparently give him a long life. So Venkateswarlu looks to marry two girls at one go. Bhanumati (Ramyakrishna) and Ramakrishna Raju (Srikant) bring up Indu (Gowri Munjal). Bhanumati finalises an alliance for Indu against her wishes, prompting her to flee the house. Raju goes in search of Indu. While trying to escape from him Indu meets with an accident only to be saved by Venkateswarlu. Indu falls in love with him. She gets the shock of her life on learning Venkateswarlu's grand marriage plans. Raju consoles her and decides to get her married to Venkateswarlu.
Tricky situation
When Indu marries Venkateswarlu, Raju enters the scene claiming she is his wife. Instead of having two wives, Venkateswarlu finds that he is one among Indu's husbands. He tries to get rid of Raju, but to no avail. Will he be able to realise the drama enacted by Indu and Raju? This form part of the remaining film. The director runs a parallel story with Brahmanandam and Jhansi with the former planning for a remarriage.
