Language panel submits report

HYDERABAD: The Nizamabad Collector has ranked first in implementing Telugu as the official language.

The report of the Official Languages Commission on its activities for 2005-06 has asked the rest of the Collectors to emulate their Nizamabad counterpart who took the implementation to full level now. The report was submitted to Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy on Thursday by commission chairman A.B.K. Prasad and its four members.

The Commission claimed 24 achievements in all during the year. The report described that efforts were on to make Telugu second language at Intermediate level in place on Sanskrit in Intermediate.
