Golden jubilee celebrations of Nagarathar Sangam

Poetic symposium and exclusive events for women and children planned

MADURAI: The golden jubilee celebrations of Nagarathar Sangam will be held at Raja Muthiah Mandram on May 27 and 28.

According to a press release, the celebrations will feature a series of programmes including a poetic symposium and exclusive events for women and children.

The celebrations will be inaugurated by AR. Lakshmanan, Judge, Supreme Court. S. Regupathi, Minister of State for Home, industrialist Karumuttu T. Kannan, Madurai Kamaraj University Vice-Chancellor P. Maruthamuthu, SP. Muthuraman, film director, and S. Gurumurthy, chartered accountant, will participate in the celebrations.

An exhibition will also be organised as part of the event.

Nagarathar Sangam is a registered society founded by industrialist and philanthropist Karumuthu Thiagaraja Chettiar 50 years ago to render service to the society, particularly for the development of religion, Tamil culture, and education for the poor.
