In view of the success of Jawahar Knowledge Centres, the Government will set up similar centres at degree colleges across the State from the ensuing academic year, Information Technology Minister P. Sabita Indra Reddy has said. Inaugurating the Fifth Education Fair-2006, conducted by KAB Consultants at the Institute of Engineers, Khairatabad, the Minister has said the Government has earmarked Rs. 14 crores for JKCs during the year and at least 200 students would be trained at each JKC. The fair was conducted with the objective of offering free counselling to students and providing up-to-date information regarding career prospects. Sixty-three colleges participated in the fair.
