If the proof of the pudding lies in the eating, the proof of success of any concept lies in achieving the desired result. This has come true in case of Jawahar Knowledge Centres (JKCs) in Government Degree Colleges, which have started working recently. After the Institute of Electronic Governance (IEG) introduced the concept in a large number of engineering colleges last year where it met with resounding success, the Directorate of Collegiate Education extended the same to 11 Government Degree Colleges on an experimental basis. They had no regrets. As Director of Collegiate Education K. Lakshminarayana reveals with pride, Satyam Computers picked up five students of B.Sc. Computer Science from Government College, Anantapur during the campus interviews it conducted at JNTU College of Engineering on May 21.
