Courageous

AIADMK general secretary Jayalalithaa's decision to participate in the proceedings of the State Assembly, despite being alone, is courageous. Her continued participation in the Assembly will augur well for the State's political system.

No matter where she is — in the treasury benches or in the Opposition — Ms. Jayalalithaa always makes her presence felt with her debating ability. On Saturday, she did not shy away from facing the ruling party members alone, often raising questions they found difficult to answer.
