Rajahmundry: TDP president N. Chandrababu Naidu regretted that his party could not convince the farming community on the reforms that were brought in the agriculture sector for their welfare. He said that though the Congress Government was adopting some of their policies, yet 50 per cent of farmers in the State had been thrown into a debt trap as they failed to access credit since the last two years. Mr. Naidu said that improvement in the standard of living of farmers would be his party's policy and they would strive for this through different methods till their goal was achieved. "We introduced many reforms for the welfare of farmers. However, we could not succeed in our efforts to convince farmers to some extent. Now, the farmers are realising about our reforms and welfare measures taken by TDP Government," Mr. Naidu said.
