Joint Entrance Test 2006 results

Pondicherry: The CENTAC sponsored by Pondicherry Administration conducted Joint Entrance Test (JET) 2006 for admission of students to professional colleges in B. Tech, MBBS, BDS, B.V.Sc and Animal Health, B. Pharm. B.Sc (Nursing), BPT, B.Sc (MLT) and LL.B degree courses on May 25 and 26 in 13 centres here.

The results were finalised through valuation by OMR and were made available on the website (www.centac.pon.nic.in) of CENTAC from Monday. Statement of marks would be dispatched to candidates in the next couple of days, according to Chairman of the CENTAC Mr B.V. Selvaraj. Highest marks obtained by candidates in various subjects last year and this year are: Mathematics: 44.167 (JET 2005) and 46.667 (2006). Physical Science: 47.500 (2005) and 46.250 (2006),

Biology: 46.500 (in 2005) and 41.000 (2006) and LL.B. : 68.000 (2005) and 63.000 (2006). The Chairman furnished following details of the first six highest scorers of marks (out of fifty) in the subjects mentioned hereunder:

Mathematics: V. Arun Seshatri (46.667), S.Anandaraj (45.000), Sumith Shikhar (44.167), M S R Manoj (44.167),

S. Arunchalam (43.333) and Gowtham Verma Buddaraju (43.333)

Physical Science: V.Arun Seshatri 46.250, S.Arunachalam (45.625), R.Ananthakrishnan (44.375), T.N.Mithulekh (44.375), S.Vivek (43.750) and R. Ravi Srinivas (43.750). Biology: T.Jane Nithya (41.000), N. Balamurugan (40.500), Abi Albon Paul (40.000), M.P.Ramaraju Madunuri (39.000)

S. Shathish Kumar (38.500) and K.Guru (38.500).

LL.B: A. S. Sriraman (63.000), M. Samyuktha (56.000), S. Suruthi (54.000), V. Rajesh Babu (52.000) and

S. Mohindar (50.000). All the candidates should submit their admission application forms to the CENTAC office (Pondicherry Engineering College campus at Pillaichavady) either in person or by Registered Post so as to reach the Office latest by June 15, 2006 at 5 p.mCounseling for admission to various courses would be conducted thereafter after due intimation to the candidates and through the media.
