Fitting tribute

The statue of M.S. Subbulakshmi, unveiled by Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Y.S. Rajasekhara Reddy at Tirupati on Sunday (May 28), is a fitting tribute to the memory of the queen of Carnatic music.

The 14-foot bronze statue of MS sitting holding the veena is a marvel. Her name and fame will live on as long as Carnatic music lives.

B. Kousalya,

Chennai
