Nagarjuna Construction announces 1:1 bonus
CHENNAI:
Nagarjuna Construction Company has announced a bonus issue in the ratio of one share for every equity share of Rs. 2 each. The directors have recommended an equity dividend of 80 per cent for 2005-06 against 60 per cent in 2004-05. The company has achieved a turnover of Rs. 1,842.47 crore for the year ended March 31, 2006 against Rs. 1,191.23 crore, a growth of 55 per cent. The gross profit, before depreciation and interest charges has increased to Rs. 166.09 crore from Rs. 93.45 crore. According to a release, the operations have resulted in a net profit of Rs. 103.90 crore against Rs. 57.27 crore, a growth of 81 per cent.
