Doctors' strike hits medical services in M.P.

BHOPAL: Services remained affected in hospitals affiliated to Madhya Pradesh's medical colleges as the junior doctors' strike in protest against 27 per cent reservation for OBCs in higher education institutions continued unabated.

``As part of the agitation, four physicians of Hamidia Hospital -- the State capital's largest such government facility -- are fasting unto death. All junior docs, in every medical college in the state, are on strike,'' said Madhya Pradesh Junior Doctors' Association spokesman Amit Tyagi. A Signature campaign was launched on Monday under which medicos would go from door to door. A maha rally is scheduled here on May 31. - UNI
