Power shutdown today

There will be no power supply in the following areas from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on May 30 as the Irugur sub-station will be shut down for annual maintenance work, according to a press release from the Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB):

Irugur, Ondipudur, Odderpalayam, Uppilipalayam, Nehru Nagar and parts of Mylampatti, Pallapalayam, Kannampalayam, Kalapatti, Neelikonampalayam and Vellanaipatti.

Guidance class

for parents

Divyodaya Inter-religious Centre will conduct a guidance class for parents of school-going children at 3 p.m. on June 4, on its premises on Geetha Hall Road.

A release said that the programme would cover the attitude of parents towards school-going children, the issue of tuition classes, television watching at home, time schedule for studies, parents spending time with their children, extra curricular activities and emotional intelligence.

Parents of school-going children could participate. They could register on or before June 3.
