SHIMOGA: Psychiatrist K.R. Sridhar said here on Tuesday that students were in a confused state about their career as parents pressured them to choose a particular path. Dr. Sridhar was inaugurating the vocational and employment guidance camp organised by the Rotary East Club, Employment Guidance Bureau of Kuvempu University and the Employment Exchange Centre. He said the children were not in a position to take their decision on their career, thanks to overbearing parents. When there were job opportunities in every field, parents should allow their children to make use of their aptitude. "But what is missing is the proper appreciation of them by parents as well as children," he said. Dr. Sridhar said it was at this stage that parents should take decisions carefully.
