NIIT in pact with Sun Microsystems

BANGALORE: NIIT and Sun Microsystems India Pvt. Ltd. have jointly introduced specialised education and training programmes on Sun technologies. Students emerging from these programmes will further grow the Java and Solaris developer communities. The two companies signed an agreement to this effect on Tuesday. The initial launch will focus on the Sun Java platform, while Solaris will be addressed later this year. The high-end Sun curriculum will be integrated into NIIT's CATS (Curriculum for Advanced Technology Studies) offerings for working professionals allowing them to get access to training on the latest platforms and tools, a company statement said here.
