Congress probing Karaikal debacle

Pondicherry: The general secretary of the All India Congress Committee Mr. B.K. Hariprasad has called upon the functionaries of the Pondicherry Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) to initiate immediate steps to identify the reason for the party drawing a blank in Karaikal without being able to win any of the four seats it contested there in the recent elections to the Territorial Assembly.

The party suffered a debacle without being able to annex the remaining four seats it contested there. Addressing a meeting of the workers of the ruling Congress here on Tuesday Mr. Hariprasad thanked the voters for electing the Congress and its allies at the polls.
