"Job guarantee scheme will be given priority"

CHANDIGARH: The National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme will be implemented on a priority basis in the rural areas of the entire country to generate more employment opportunities for the unemployed youth, the Union Minister of State for Urban Employment and Poverty Alleviation, Selja, said on Tuesday.

Inaugurating a block of 240 flats in Sector 25 of Panchkula near here, she said that earlier this scheme was being implemented in select districts of the country including Sirsa and Mahendergarh districts of Haryana.

Haryana Deputy CMr and local MLA Chander Mohan urged the Union Government to sanction a special package for revival of Hindustan Machine Tools , factory in Pinjore.
