As many as 188 villages in Ghaziabad, Bulandshahar and Gautambudh Nagar (Noida) districts would be acquired for the authority, he said, adding that the name Greater Noida Phase-II had been chosen to attract more entrepreneurs to the project. He said the Government would also acquire 100 acres of land belonging to the State Jal Nigam at Jalaun to set up a medical college. The Government also decided to modernise the Rampur Sugar Mill and increase its crushing capacity from the existing 1,200 tons a day to 2,500 tons at an estimated cost of Rs 61.5 crore, Mr. Bajpai said.
