CHENNAI: The President of the Tamil Nadu Football Association, C.R. Visswanathan has appealed to the Chief Minister M. Karunanidhi to allot a house as relief to Baby Kittu, widow of football Olympian Kittu (J. Krishnasamy), who hailed from Thanjavur. In a letter to the Chief Minister on Tuesday, Mr. Visswanathan said that late Kittu's family, now living in Bangalore, was in a state of penury, struggling to meet ends with her meagre pension. Besides, Mrs Kittu is an acute diabetic. For the laurels that Kittu had brought to the State and the country, Mr. Visswanathan felt that his family deserved support in this hour of difficulty and assured the Chief Minister that for his noble act the football fraternity in the state and the country would be ever grateful to him.
