CHENNAI: Southwest monsoon has been vigorous over Kerala, coastal and south interior Karnataka.

Rainfall occurred at most places over Kerala, Lakshadweep and coastal Karnataka and at many places over interior Karnataka. Isolated rainfall occurred over Tamil Nadu, coastal Andhra Pradesh and Rayalaseema and mainly dry weather prevailed over Telangana.

Weather Forecast (valid until Thursday morning): Rain or thundershowers are likely to occur at most places over coastal Karnataka, Kerala and Lakshadweep, at many places over interior Karnataka and at a few places over Andhra Pradesh. Isolated rain or thudershowers are also likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.

Heavy rainfall warning: Isolated heavy to very heavy rain is likely to occur over Karnataka, Kerala and Lahsadweep during next 48 hours.

Farmers weather bulletin for Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry (Forecast valid until the morning of 1st June 2006): Isolated light to moderate rain is likely to occur over Tamil Nadu and Pondicherry.
