KAT vacates interim order

BANGALORE: Karnataka Administrative Tribunal has vacated an interim order granted by it on February 20, 2006, directing the Excise Department to maintain status quo on the issue of promotion to the cadre of inspectors in the department. A Division Bench comprising KAT chairman Justice A.V. Srinivasa Reddy, and Administrative Member, P. Kotilinganagoud, said continuation of the interim order was likely to hinder the functioning of the department.
