Hyderabad : APCC president K. Keshava Rao constituted district-wise committees of coordinators for the panchayat elections on Tuesday.

GET exam results

on website

HYDERABAD : Students, who appeared for the final GET examination held on February 19, can get their results from website www.apsche.org. They should go to `information on GET results' in the website and confirm their name to access the results, as indicated. They could save them and take printouts if required, according to a press release issued by the Andhra Pradesh State Council of Higher Education. - Special Correspondent

New passenger train

HYDERABAD : The South Central Railway will introduce a passenger train between Karepalli and Bhadrachalam Road stations with effect from June 1.

A press release issued by the SCR said on Tuesday that train No.345 Karepalli-Bhadrachalam Road passenger will leave Karepalli at 8.30 a.m. and arrive at Bhadrachalam at 9.40 a.m. In the return direction, train No.346 Bhadrachalam Road-Karepalli passenger will leave Bhadrachalam Road at 5 p.m. and reach Karepalli at 6.10 p.m. - Special Correspondent

75 Inter students booked

HYDERABAD : A total of 75 candidates were booked for malpractice on Tuesday during the Intermediate supplementary examination.

Meanwhile, on the second day of SSC examination, 119 cases of malpractice were registered by the flying squads. The maximum number of 33 cases was reported from Ranga Reddy district. Twenty-one invigilators were either relieved or suspended, according to a press release. - Special Correspondent

New chief for AIBOC

HYDERABAD : Harshavardhan Madabushi was elected president of the State unit of All-India Bank Officers' Confederation at the executive committee meeting of AIBOC here on Monday.

Ramakoteswara Rao was elected secretary in place of P. Shiva Shanker Reddy, who is retiring by month-end. P. Sudhakar, vice-chairman, ABOA unit in SBH, presided. - Special Correspondent

Red sanders seized

KADAPA : Forest officials intercepted a car and seized 21 logs of red sanders being transported in it near G.V. Satram in Khajipet mandal, according to forest officer Gaffar.

Award for oil company

Anaparthi (East Godavari): Ammireddy Oils Ltd in the town has bagged the award of the third Highest Producer of Refined Rice Bran Oil in the country.

Addressing a press conference here, Chairman and Managing Director Ammireddy said the company bagged the `Shri B.K. Goenka-Solvent Extractors' Association of India Awards for Refined Rice Bran Oil' for 2005-06 with highest production of 14,000 tonnes per annum. - Staff Reporter

Dies in freak mishap

Kakinada : Kalleti Swami Reddi, 26, who went into forest along with three of his friends for hunting on Tuesday, was killed when the country-made gun of his friend was misfired injuring him grievously. He was rushed to hospital where he died. -Correspondent

New general secretary

for State BJP

HYDERABAD: Ravinder Raju, secretary of the East and West Godavari, Krishna and Guntur districts of BJP, was on Tuesday appointed State general secretary (organisation) by party president Rajnath Singh.
