Children stage dance drama

MYSORE: It was an evening of dance drama for the children of Kautilya Vidyalaya. The theme was on the breaking of relationships by the onslaught of "alien culture". The dance drama "Hakki Haadu" was staged by the students of Vidyalaya on Monday evening at Vanaranga, the open air auditorium on Rangayana premises.

On an impressive stage, children dressed as birds and cats through which the message of bonding and human association was sent across the audience. More than 25 children staged "Hakki Haadu", the dance drama penned by Kotigana Halliramaiah that raises the issues of underprivileged people in society in a tacit manner.

It was produced under the direction of theatre artiste Hulugappa Kattimani. The dance drama was directed by Pramila Bendre and Trimurti was assistant director.

Mr. Santhosh Kumar Kusanur designed the stage while Sagayraj provided the lighting.

Background music was conceptualised by Srinivas Bhat and provided by Tabala Kumar, V. Vasu, Gangera and Kunti.
