Training for visually challenged in July

A monthly stipend will be paid to candidates

MYSORE: The National Association for Blind (NAB) is conducting a 12-month industrial training programme for the visually challenged and hearing impaired boys and girls in Mysore from July 10.

Training will be provided in light engineering, screen printing, coil winding, plastic injection moulding besides coir rope and mat-making. The training will be held at the National Association for Blind (NAB), Sheds C-177/178, Yadavgiri Industrial Area, Mysore.

Visually challenged and hearing impaired male and female candidates domiciled in Karnataka, aged between 17 and 25, and who have passed their SSLC examination, should apply to the manager, Industrial Training Centre for Blind and Deaf, Mysore.

Knowledge of Braille is essential for visually challenged candidates.

Interview in June

A monthly stipend of Rs. 250 will be paid to all selected candidates. The last date for issue of applications is June 15 while the last date for submission of applications is June 17. Interviews for applicants will be held on June 30, according to a press statement.
