ANANTAPUR: The district unit of Telugu Desam Party on Tuesday complained to the State Election Commission against Zilla Parishad Chief Executive Officer K. Sripathi Rao accusing him of denying backward classes voters' list due to his partisan attitude. A delegation of TDP leaders went to the CEO and requested him for issuance of mandal parishad territorial constituency-wise BC voters' list pertaining to six mandals.
In a fit of anger the CEO had allegedly refused to give the lists stating that he would not give the lists though he had them.
The TDP leaders immediately went to District Collector Dasari Kadmial and lodged a complaint against the CEO. They sought to know how a responsible Government officer could deny such unclassified information. Later, they faxed a complaint to the SEC. When contacted, the CEO said he had refused to give the lists as the TDP leaders had made baseless allegations against him that he was preparing the lists by sitting in Tadipatri, the native place of Panchayat Raj Minister J.C. Diwakar Reddy.
