Kakinada: Thirty-five women farmers from Krishna district have been imparted two days' training in modern agricultural practices including fertiliser application at the KVK Raju Krishi Vignan Kendram here. Addressing the women farmers at the valedictory function on Tuesday, Dr. K. Rama Devi, principal of Vidyanjali School said women should play a major role even in agriculture as part of their empowerment programme. Dr. Y. Satyanarayana, agricultural scientist had conducted the training classes in modern farming and on achieving of optimum production by adopting high yielding varieties of paddy, black gram and sugar cane.
