Accused persons in Alukkas theft case to be brought to city

HYDERABAD: Jewel thief Vinod Ramboli Singh, who struck at the Alukkas jewellery shop at Panjagutta on May 16 and made away with Rs. 6 crores worth gold ornaments and diamonds, will be brought to the city on Wednesday along with his aide Ajay Jawahar Singh.

A senior police official said a team of the Central Crime Station went to Mumbai and filed a prisoner transit warrant against Vinod and Ajay in a Mumbai court. The duo will soon be produced in court at Nampally. Vinod and Ajay were caught in Mumbai within two days after the burglary.
