Two students end life

Staff Reporter

BANGALORE: Two daughters of a police head constable allegedly committed suicide by hanging themselves at their house in R.T. Nagar police station limits on Wednesday afternoon.

The police gave their names as Divya Rani (19), a second year B.Sc., student and Deepa Rani (17), a second year PUC student. They were daughters of Renukaiah, a head constable attached to the Cottonpet police station and a resident of Ganganagar.

The police said that when the two sisters were at home, Divya hanged herself because she had not done well in her B.Sc., examination.

A few minutes later the other girl too committed suicide in the same manner.
