Cascia High School to complete 60 years on Saturday

MANGALORE: The Cascia High School at Jeppu here will complete 60 years on June 3.

The school plans to construct an amphitheatre to mark its 60th anniversary for which the foundation stone will be laid on June 3. Also, 200 students of eighth standard will be given free uniforms on the occasion, according to Rita Rodrigues, headmistress of the school.

Ms. Rodrigues said 700 students were studying at the school, which offered education in Kannada and English medium.

The school managed by the Catholic Education Board has four sections each in the eighth and ninth standard and three sections in the tenth standard. The school was opened on June 3, 1946.

Souvenir

As part of its 60th anniversary celebrations, the school management plans to bring out a souvenir and provide a facelift to the school building.
