Convenient venue

The Public Relations Chamber was constructed on the Government Secretariat premises during the regime of the UDF Government to make it a permanent venue for the briefings of the State Cabinet by the Chief Minister and the press conferences of the Ministers and others.

Though far away from the Chief Minister's block, the PR chamber was a convenient venue for mediapersons and the Chief Minister and Ministers as it was spacious to accommodate the print and electronic media. But, Chief Minister V. S. Achuthanandan seems to prefer the Hall adjacent to his office to brief the media.
