Haier launches mobile handsets

NEW DELHI: Haier, the world's fourth largest consumer durables group, on Thursday its entry into the Indian mobile handset market with the launch of its GSM and CDMA range. The phones include a complete range from entry level to high-end multimedia phones with prices ranging from Rs. 2,000 to Rs. 20,000 and above. Haier Telecom (India) Ltd plans to build Haier Mobile as a brand. It is now in talks with one of the largest GSM operators in India to develop customised packages with Haier's GSM handset range.
