NHPC net up 9 p.c.

NEW DELHI: National Hydroelectric Power Corporation (NHPC) has reported a higher profit after tax of Rs.742.75 crore in 2005-06 against Rs. 684.58 crore in 2004-05, an increase of 8.5 per cent. The board has recommended a dividend of Rs. 223 crore (Rs. 140 crore). Sales went up from Rs. 1,668 crore to Rs. 1,714 crore.
