Lanco signs agreement with Uttaranchal Govt.

HYDERABAD: The Hyderabad-based Lanco Group has signed project development agreement for the development of hydroelectric power projects aggregating 70 MW with the Uttaranchal Government. The projects on Mandakini river will generate 350 million units a year. The notable feature of the project is its low cost of energy at Rs. 1.50 per unit and the project will be completed in 30 months. The agreement was signed between N. Ravi Shankar, Principal Secretary, Energy, Uttaranchal Government, and D. V. Rao, Lanco Hydro division director and CEO.
