GULBARGA: The nomination papers of the independent candidate Subashchandra Patil were rejected during scrutiny for the elections to the Legislative Council from the North East Graduates Constituency leaving eight candidates in the field now. The last date for withdrawal of nomination papers is June 3. The candidates whose nomination papers were found in order are Koralli Suryakant (Congress), Manohar Maski (BJP), S.M. Sangameshwar (Janata Dal-S), Rangana Gowda H. Patil (AIPJD), Shivaraj Patil (Janata Dal-U), Ghulam Rabbani (Ind), Sudhakar Thippanna (independent) and Hattarki Yeshvanthrao (independent).
