Bangalore: For the third year in a row, The Hindu EducationPlus will conduct guidance sessions this month for students who are aspiring to get into professional courses, either through the Common Entrance Test (CET) Cell or the test conducted by the COMED-K (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka). The sessions will be held in Bangalore, Mangalore, Dharwad and Gulbarga. Registration has commenced. The objectives of the sessions are to help the students understand the admission processes; the potential of various courses; what the industry looks for; how to prepare for challenges ahead, etc. The Bangalore session will be held on June 7 at the Chowdiah Memorial Hall. The programme will include talks by experts from the fields of education and industry and those connected with the CET Cell and the COMED-K. The programme will commence at 10 a.m. and conclude by 2 p.m. The registration fee in Bangalore is Rs. 100. The panellists for the Bangalore session include executive secretary of COMED-K and principal and dean of M.S. Ramaiah Medical College K. Murali; co-founder and director of Infosys Technologies K. Dinesh; and K. Raghothamma Rao of Jain Group of Institutions.
