Help from unexpected quarters

It seems that the ailing tile industry has got help from the most unexpected quarters. Not from captains of industry or technology experts but from karate exponents.

The battle of breaking tiles is already on with M. Pratapan Chettikulam, a black belt in karate, breaking 4,000 tiles in Kozhikode on Monday in a bid to enter the Guinness Book of World Records. This has prompted another karate master, M. Dileep Kumar, also from Kozhikode, to declare that he will break 6,000 tiles. He had already broken 2,500 tiles as part of staking claim for a place in the Guinness Book of World Records.
