Anurag shines in Raju's CA's impressive show

HYDERABAD: Raju's Cricket Academy put up an impressive performance in the under-15 and under-17 section, winning against local teams in Tirupati.

Anurag was the star performer, scoring two centuries besides a couple of half-centuries for the under-17 team.

Sakla Reddy, Municipal Commissioner of Tirupati, gave away the prizes to the winner.

The scores: Under-17: One-dayers: Tirupati CC 218 in 26.2 overs (Mahesh 48, Abhinav four for 16) lost to Raju's CC 220 for two in 29.3 overs (Anurag 103 not out, Dheeraj 41 not out).

Tirupati CC 281 in 36.5 overs (Rakesh 69, Praneeth 45, Gajendra four for 10) lost to Raju's CC 283 for four in 38.1 overs (Anurag 83, Dheeraj 75, Pradeep 68).

Raju's CC 288 for eight (Anurag 99, Pradeep 65, Dheeraj 60, Mouni four for 11) bt Tirupati CC 115 (Mouni 47, Raja 42, Gajender four for 20, Pradeep five for 22).

Three-day matches: Tirupati CC 239 in 67.2 overs (Pranav 82, Mouni 45, Vamsi four for 25, Pradeep four for 32) & 195 in 35.5 overs (Jaya 47, Karthik 42) lost to Raju's CC 445 for six (Anurag 158 not out, Dheeraj 102, Pradeep 90, Abhinav 56).

Under-15: Tirupati 191 in 39.2 overs (Uday 65, Harish four for 28) lost to Raju's CC 192 for two in 28.2 overs (Madineni 82, Aditya 60).

Raju's CC 267 for five (Madineni 91, M.D. Reddy 63, Raghunath 51) bt Tirupati CA 195 (Mahesh 72, Prathyush five for 16).

Tirupati CA 118 in 29.3 overs (Mouni 53) lost to Raju's CA 119 for five (Anand 73).

Tirupati CA 179 (Rahul 45) bt Raju's CA 170 in 29.2 overs (Madineni 52, Mouni five for 16, Rahul four for 12).

Twin-cities gymnastics

Hyderabad District Gymnastics Association will organise the fifth Twin Cities inter-summer gymnastics championship on June 2 at Lal Bahadur Stadium gymnastics hall in the age group between four and 14 years, according to A. Someshwar, general secretary of HDGA.

SAAP mini tennis

The second Twin Cities mini tennis tournament will be organised by Sports Authority of Andhra Pradesh from June 10 to 14 at SAAP Tennis Complex here.

Competitions will be for boys and girls in the age groups of under-10 and 12 years.
