Free yoga classes by Cosmopolitan Club

Rajahmundry: Minister for Roads and Buildings J. Ramamohanrao said that yoga was recommended even by western doctors as an alternative medicine for all types of diseases.

He spoke at the valedictory function of `Free yoga classes' organised by Cosmopolitan Club. The classes are being conducted by veteran and popular yoga master Devarapalli Veera Raghavulu who was felicitated on Wednestday.

Delivering the keynote address, Chief Conservator of Forests M. Ramprasad has said that daily practice of yoga will give five essential qualities to human body that will keep away all diseases and give strength and fitness to all ages of people in modern times.

`Pancha sootras'

He said the `pancha sootras' are physical fitness, intellectual development, controlling emotional diseases like stress, inferiority complex and spiritual bent of mind.

MLA R. Suryaprakasarao said yoga was the best prescription for the present day situation. After the meeting, Raghavulu was felicitated by MP V. Arunakumar, Pamtamkondalarao, Bhaskar Ram, Cosmopolitan Club president, secretary and students.
