NEW DELHI: Thirty-five sub-inspectors passed out of the CBI Academy at Ghaziabad near here on completion of 59 weeks of training in two phases. Addressing the sub-inspectors after taking the salute and reviewing the Passing Out Parade, CBI Director Vijay Shanker exhorted the officers to follow the high tradition of the organisation. Quoting a Supreme Court judgment, he pointed out that the premier investigating agency is the last hope for many and the officers passing out have an onerous responsibility to live up to the expectation of million of the people. He also stressed the need for professional excellence and hard work in keeping with the organisations reputation.Mr. Shanker also launched "School of e-learning" -- a website-enabled training system in the CBI academy which is first of its kind in the country. Designed and developed by the academy to facilitate on the job training of CBI personnel working through the country, it provides 24x7 access to all the investigating officers of CBI on all-important legal and profession inputs relevant to their jobs.
