TDP accuses State of diverting NABARD funds

Special Correspondent

HYDERABAD: Telugu Desam Party has charged the Government with diverting Rs. 250 crores released by the National Bank for Agriculture and Rural Development (NABARD) at 2 per cent interest rebate to farmers repaying crop loans by March- end.

Addressing a press conference, party MP and spokesman, M. V. Mysoora Reddy said that the Government held back this concession instead of passing it on to the farmers and adjusted it against its own interest rebate of 6 per cent, as mentioned in GO 277 issued on March 28, 2006.
