Hassan demands probe into Housing Board irregularities

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The KPCC has demanded an inquiry into the irregularities in the Kerala State Housing Board under the Maithri scheme during the tenure of incumbent Public Works Minister P.J. Joseph as Housing Minister in the Nayanar Government between 1996-2001.

Addressing a press conference here on Thursday, KPCC spokesman M.M. Hassan said that the Assembly Public Accounts committee had recommended a comprehensive inquiry into the irregularities.

Another Assembly committee had also found irregularities in the grant of funds for an organisation run by the Minister, he said.
