AI reschedules flights

Thiruvananthapuram: Air India has rescheduled three flights operating from Thiruvananthapuram to Doha, Bahrain, Dubai and Mumbai on June 2 and 3 due to inclement weather. The flight AI 953 from Thiruvananthapuram via Kochi, Doha to Bahrain on June 2 will depart at 4.40 a.m. on June 3, a release aid. The flight AI 981 Thiruvananthapuram-Dubai flight scheduled to depart at 9 a.m. on June 3 will depart at 8.20 p.m. the same day and the flight AI 980 Thiruvananthapuram-Mumbai flight scheduled to depart at 7 p.m. on June 3 will depart at 6.10 a.m. on June 4. — Staff Reporter

World Cup programmes

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Amrita TV will feature a FIFA segment in its news bulletins to coincide with the World Cup. The World Cup tele-clip of five to six minutes will comprise the history of the World Cup, team profiles and a general item on the warm-up matches. The World Cup coverage will also feature famous personalities who will select their favourite team. Another segment is `Players to Watch.' After the beginning of the World Cup, guests on the breakfast show will analyse the game. Other programmes include telecast of the `Goal of the Day' and pop-ups on the sidelights of the day's game.

State conference

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The 35th State conference of the Joint Council of State Service Organisations will be held here from August 27 to 30. — Special Correspondent

One-time settlement scheme

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Minister for Housing Benoy Viswom has directed the State Housing Board to extend its One Time Settlement Scheme up to September 30. The Scheme provides for interest concessions on clearance of loan arrears. The Scheme had closed on March 31. — Special Correspondent
