KARIMNAGAR: Minister for Sports and Culture M. Satyanarayana Rao on Thursday formally launched the party election campaign for the local bodies elections by participating in the party-sponsored `Grama Bheri' programme in several villages on Thursday. Launching the programme in Manakondur mandal headquarters, the Minister called upon the party rank and file to select and elect their own choice of candidates, He promised that the party high command and district leaders would not interfere in the selection of candidates. Several sarpanches belonging to the TSP and the TRS joined the Congress on the occasion. He praised Chief Minister for taking up the Jalayagnam programme.
