KOLKATA : West Bengal Chief Minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee said here on Thursday that arrangements were being made to bring back the tourists from the State who were injured in Wednesday's grenade attack in Srinagar. The Government was contacting authorities to arrange for a special flight, Chief Secretary Amit Kiran Deb said. The 22 persons, who were injured in the attack on two buses at Dalgate, were admitted to three hospitals in Srinagar and the State Government was in constant touch with the Jammu and Kashmir Government for information on their condition. The tourists were expected here by Friday, Mr. Deb said. Kashmir has of late been a favourite destination for tourists from the State. But after Wednesday's incident, several operators here have cancelled group tours to Kashmir. Samir Sengupta, tour manager of Kundu Special, told The Hindu that two of the four toursorganised by operators for this month were cancelled. His agency was arranging for the return of tourists, now on a package tour, from Jammu. "A group which left on May 30 on a tour of Kashmir will be returning shortly." Authorities at the Netaji Subhas Chandra Bose airport here are making arrangements to provide medical attention to the injured.
