Handicrafts corporation celebrates annual day

HYDERABAD:
Andhra Pradesh Handicrafts Development Corporation celebrated its annual day at the NTR Gardens here on Thursday.
The occasion was marked by distribution of prizes and cash awards to members of the staff who excelled in sales.
Speaking to reporters, corporation chairman B. Anjan Raju and managing director B. Jayaraj said the organisation had recorded 22 per cent hike in sales and 25 per cent in net profit last year. The good performance had led them to decide upon setting up Lepakshi emporia in all districts.
A proposal to set up the State Institute of Handicraft Technology to award diplomas and degrees in handicraft technologies was being made to the Government, he added.
