Surprises all the way
It's a strange case in more than one way. A housewife from Srinagar Colony complained to the police saying Rs. 40 lakhs were stolen from her flat.
First peculiarity is the woman's statement that she left the bag containing such a huge amount in the hall.
Second is detectives were left wondering as to how offenders sneaked inside and stole the money since there were no signs of forcible entry. Even the way sleuths stumbled upon the Rs. 35 lakhs stolen amount in a lodge during a routine check was equally strange.
Finally, the manner in which two suspects, in whose possession the cash was found, managed to give them slip on the pretext of calling their father was more surprising.
